All the time that exciting developments have been going on, Neil from Atkinson Electricals .JPG)
has been plodding on in the background. You don’t see huge changes but cables keep appearing all over the place and deliveries from our local wholesaler, Newey and Eyre www.neweyandeyre.co.uk keep arriving. Because of the way Paul wants the building to work, the electrical side is quite complicated and Paul has nightmares about getting to the end and realising there is a missing cable. We found out at the weekend that the light sensor for the master bathroom had been missed. This is probably one of the most crucial of all as it means that as Dad goes into his bathroom through the automatically opening door, the light will come on so there will be no effort required from him and hopefully he can be just that bit more independent. The missing cable is being sorted out right now!

Neil, I think was a bit overwhelmed by the complexities of the project – as were all of the electricians we interviewed but Neil was keen to understand and has enjoyed the challenge of working on a project that is a bit different. He is very organised and methodical which has to be a good sign. The electricity is already to be connected once Neil finishes his bit and the certificate of conformity arrives. That will be an exciting day!
