13 Apr 2008: Who says underfloor heating needs to be underfloor?

We have Rehau underfloor heating fitted throughout the building - Paul is a big fan of underfloor heating but I think it will take a bit of getting used to for Jean and Bill.  Jean would like an instant source of heat if she is feeling chilly but underfloor heating isn't something that reacts as soon as it is turned up.  It gives a very comfortable heat to exist within without massive highs and lows.

It is a common complaint of Paul's that, if I am cold in the car, I turn the heating up to full whack and then I get too hot and turn the heating down to the coldest setting..a 'woman thing' he tells me!!!  Jean and Bill have a LPG flueless gas fire which will give the impression of something cosy to sit round and it gives off some heat - not sufficient to heat the room though.

Today we have started the installation of underfloor heating pipes in the bathroom wall of the Master en suite.  It is easy to do and just adds to the comfort factor of the bathroom.  It isn't like a bathroom radiator or a heated towel rail, it just creates a pleasant place to be!
